Mahajanga University has got a new dormitory that can house 300 students after more than 30 years of no construction.

He recalled that many students who receive undergraduate entrance every year are unable to study because of the inability of public and private universities to accommodate them. This is the reason why the government has made it a priority to build 13 universities all over Madagascar in three and a half years, in order to protect Malagasy children to study.

The President of the Republic Andry RAJOELINA is now making a regional visit in Boeny that will last for three days. The inauguration of the Amborovy – Mahajanga High School has started today 22 July 2022.

For the Boeny region there are 15 schools built and under construction and five of them are in Mahajanga I. Local students will now no longer have to walk long distances to get to school.Mahajanga University

The President said that the children of Amborovy deserve to have a good quality school and modern infrastructure. The goal of building more accessible schools is also to significantly reduce dropouts.
The new high school can house up to 600 students, will have 12 classrooms, teacher’s preparation rooms, laboratories, library and computer systems, various offices and a playground. Just like all the schools in Madagascar, the students of Amborovy Lycee were given textbooks and “digital tablets”.
