Madagascar, Mandoto district – Vakinankaratra region
Lands worth 150 00 were distributed to Madagascar residents and farmers in 33 communes in the 6 districts in the Vakinankaratra region today July 15, 2022 in the districts of Ambatolampy, Antanifotsy, Antsirabe II, B floor, fart, and dirt.
Their land is back to Malagasy so that Malagasy can use it to be productive and especially to be food independent said President Andry RAJOELINA during the land distribution ceremony in Mandoto district. He said, the current Government is fully convinced that the gift of land to the farmers who are 85% of Malagasy plays an important role in the fight against malnutrition.
According to the meeting on land ownership held on June 8, 2022 it was decided that farmers who have cultivated their land for the past 5 years can apply for the ownership of the land. The President said, the Central Property Office will be set up in each commune to enable the commission to review the land requests and distribute them in absolute transparency.
The distribution of the mass land identity cards today are in line with the CASEF project funded by the International Bank. The latter especially lauded efforts by the present Government to reform land management and simplify land acquisition.
Residents and farmers also appreciated planting and fertilisers in addition to the land that was distributed to them today
