RN7 Going to IHOSY and surrounding area

IHOSY is located in the IHOROMBE region (faritany of Fianarantsoa).
Built by the Ihosy River, the city is a must-see intersection for those looking to go south: Toliary (RN7), Ambovombe, Tolagnaro (RN13), Farafangana (RN27).
IHOSY is one of the largest agglomerations in Bara (semi-nomadic pastoral people) and is also known for its zebus market. The region is characterised by its large grassy areas where flocks are scattered and sometimes, from this savannah one is expected to see giraffes or zebras emerge… But no, we only see zebus and along the way the typical villages stalk the landscape.
A feast for the eyes until arriving in Ranohira at the foot of the ISALO Massif.IHOSY
