Additionally, it was announced that Mahajanga will host the celebration of International Women’s Rights Day in 2025.Let us stand together and unite for the empowerment of women in our country.
The celebration of International Women’s Day in Manakara was successful despite the rain.
The theme of the celebration was ‘Women are on their feet and eating together, developing nation’.
The event was organized by the Regional Population and Unity for Equality to support women.
The Minister of Population and the Union FOMENDRAZA Haingo Elisette offered all the women’s associations, 108 in all, a sapling of 5 pieces and 1 million. This was a sign of solidarity with women.
The president of the 8th of March was also in attendance.
The women’s associations showed great solidarity, which was appreciated despite the program being changed to the afternoon.
There was a procession through the city and the mayor of Manakara was in attendance.
In her address, Manakara’s mayoress said that this was a very special celebration.
Several partners and sponsors of the event were present, including UNFPA, ORANGE MADAGASCAR, ACCESS, ASSURANCE ARO, OIM, FID, PAM and ADRA. The representative of PAM also spoke.
Special thanks also to fellow Civil Servants who supported, such as DRED and CFPF. I would also like to express my gratitude to my parents, the Governor of the Equality Region, and the Prefecture of Manakara.
I appreciate the active participation of all Women’s March 8 committees.
However, it is unity that can be the motor for the development of the country.
Let us have love and help for one another.
Admin note: We should also appreciate the women who are never seen on International Women’s Day. But they are always there to inspire everyone.
It’s never easy to show all the courageous women with outstanding achievements, because you are all courageous women. Everywhere you go in Madagascar, you see champions who inspire everyone. We salute all the women of Madagascar for being true heroines and champions.
Happy International Women’s Rights Day!
