Mahajanga University has got a new dormitory that can house 300 students after more than 30 years of no construction.
Malagasy young people must be supported to succeed and especially to participate in the development of the country, that is the reason why we built this infrastructure, said the President.
The number of students coming to school in the area continues to grow year after year.
He recalled that many students who receive undergraduate entrance every year are unable to study because of the inability of public and private universities to accommodate them. This is the reason why the government has made it a priority to build 13 universities all over Madagascar in three and a half years, in order to protect Malagasy children to study.
For the Boeny region there are 15 schools built and under construction and five of them are in Mahajanga I. Local students will now no longer have to walk long distances to get to school.
