MANUFACTURING FRUIT AT ANALAMAMOKO, BETANATANANA, SUPPORTED BY AD2M PROJECT
To restore the reputation of oranges in Melaky region, Ministère de l’Agriculture et de l’Elevage has supported the orange growers in Fokontany Analamamoko through the AD2M Project.
After the first planting by the farmers in 2017, the crop is now reflected in the growth and growth of the crops planted.
Year 2021 there are 13461 seedlings distributed in the commune of Betanatanana so 946 of that were all orange seeds. About 1443 farmers approved it,526 were women. The farmers will expand the area for planting and will try to produce different kinds of fruits and vegetables. They also plan to sell the products, either fruits or juice, outside the municipality of Betanatanana.
There was a visit to the fruit plant in Analamamoko, led by MINAE together with the CNP of the AD2M project on November 2, 2022. The aim was to monitor the progress of work started locally and address potential challenges faced by farmers.
